Afterburn for Clouds -scene scale makes all white

Hi all
I follow the tutorial that comes with afterburn for making clouds, and all turns out good. However if I apply the same techniques on a scene with display units and system units set to metric m (metre) and use a gizmo box of 40000m (40km), I get all white clouds. Adjusting the shading parameters and the color parameters hardly has an impact and the clouds comes out just about 1 colour (as specified in shading parameters) without much detail or shadow detail. Adjusting the noise animation changes the "shape" of the clouds, but does not do much for the look, feel and shadow detail (colour variation) of the clouds.
Any suggestions?
Best Regards,
Morne

Hi
I've looked a trailer for the "2012". I was interested in this theme.
Please advise me a good site on this topic.
And what do you think about the end of the world 2012.
Thanks.

Hi
I'm using 4.0b in max 2009. I'm creating channels, adding the Afterburn Glow effect. But the max hangs on 'Transforming Vertices' every time.
I've tried everything but I can't get a render. Anybody else having trouble?
Thanks
Mark

Afterbrun and VRay LWF. How to make afterburn not black?

Hi all
I'm using Max 2010 64-bit and afterburn4.0b and working in LWF using VRay physical sun, sky, camera. Afterburn renders my particles very dark and just about black (ie it seems to get clamped) How can I make afterburn render brighter without giving up Vray LWF with physical cam exposure?

Morne

Mental Ray_ Visible to cam issue

I've come across an error
When turning off fume grid "visible to cam" ...it still shows up.
I'm trying to spit out a reflection pass, so I only want it visible in the reflective material. When I turn visible to cam off...the fire/smoke still will render ...along with the reflection
Is this a known error? or am I missing something.

Network Simulation and Rendering Issue

Hi all.
I'm having an issue when simming on a network computer and then trying to render that sim on multiple machines.
I can get the simulation to run fine on a network computer. Once the simulation is finished and all the data is saved I open the max file again and check the sim in the preview window just to make sure that the simulation worked ok.
I turn off the BB button in the Fume GUI because I don't want the simulation to re-calculate. I enable the frame range that I want to render and select all available servers so I can use all of the render boxes.
Here's my issue. Once I send the file out to render, the simulation will re-start on one computer and mess up the renders because it will calculate the sim differently.
I have the BB button turned off so I'm not sure if I'm missing something simple or what's going on. It's driving me insane.
Any help would be appreciated.
I'm using Max2009 on 64bit Vista (not my fault) and net rendering with BB.
Thanks.
Darren

I'm trying to create a small blowtorch. Very narrow, sharp and no movement. Does anyone have any pointers on how to achieve this? I'm sure it's an easy thing, but I'm a newbie and could use some help ASAP.
Thanks
