Re-simming and getting a different result. - derick - 10-19-2010

We finished a number of shots several months ago that relied heavily on Fume 1.2. The client was super impressed and everyone was happy and the shot was finaled. We then cleared the fxd and fdc files to make room for other shots.

The director loves the look of so much we've been asked to extend the fume renders. We opened the old scene file, re-simmed/rendered and the result is quite similar, but not exactly the same. Unfortunately the extension is for a transition effect and we can't change the delivered and approved shot to match the new sim.

Is there something we could be doing wrong that would create a discrepancy between sims or can simulation results differ even with the parameters all set the same?

Thanks,

-derick

Hello,

That is a bug that was fixed since FumeFX 2.0.
