FumeFX render crashes on low res. sim - Mr.Blank - 05-21-2012 I am rendering from wavelet (100 frames) biggest file in the sim is 320096KB. 3D max crashes at frame 87 everytime. I have 12 gb ram so the filesize should not be an issue. I 'm using mental ray. Can anyone help? I have reported this to you earlier without getting any sensible answer. Mr.Blank. Thank you Kresimir Re: FumeFX render crashes on low res. sim - Mr.Blank - 05-24-2012 Absolutely I see now that there’s 3 frames in post where the smoke dissapears with the exception of a tiny dot of smoke by the emitter. The 3 frames are 88-90 which is where my renders crash… I have checked wavelet preview again and can not find any frames where there’s just a tiny dot of smoke and there’s no frames missing… so I do not understand why this is happening... Also when I retimed it crashes several times until I lowered the strength and threshold from 20/1 to 2/0,1. I thought strength and treshold related to wavelet simulation and not post once wavelet was simulated? Anyway gratefull for your help Enclosed is the scene. Can you also please tell 3ds max and FumeFx versions ?
