FumeFX mental ray Network Rendering License/AfterFLICS Issue - Szkuls - 10-21-2014

Hi,

I hope someone can shed some light on issues i am have with the mental ray network rendering license for FumeFx. Specifically, AfterFLICS on render nodes are not seeing the license on the license server. Frames are rendering in backburner without error but no fumefx.

Here are the details of the issue:
-Using Max 2012, windows 7 x64.
-License server shows two license in AfterFLICS: FumeFX 2.1c and FumeFX-MR Shader
-FumeFX is installed on all render machines.
-AfterFLICS is installed on all machines and render nodes are pointing to the servers ip address
-Ports have been opened (also tried disabling firewall completely)
-AfterFLICS on render nodes shows "No Licenses Were Found" under the Licenses tab.

If anyone has worked out this issue or has any ideas on a solution, I will be very grateful!

Thanks,

szkuls

Hello,

You need to have the FumeFX-mr shader licenses to match the number of nodes they will render.
Keep in mind to set the FumeFX cache paths in the UNC format (to point to the shader network folder.)

Other than that, I see no reason why it wouldn't render.
