Vray Network Rendering and FFX - shawnolson - 04-05-2017 I only recently started using Vray and am preparing to set up for some shots on the local network. Does FX require an extra render node license per node like MR does? I didn't see this info on the Max product page for Vray, just MR. The Maya product page does say that an extra license is needed. Can you clarify? Re: Vray Network Rendering and FFX - sitnisati - 04-05-2017 Hello, In 3ds max, VRay behaves very close to Scanline renderer, so we didn't have to write any special shaders. Thus, rendering with Vray on max does not require any additional licenses from us. Similar situation is with Corona render or finalRender. Other renderers like mental ray, Arnold or any Maya renderers require FumeFX shader license which is actually a one time fee as we do not charge for shader license upgrades. Regards, Kresimir Tkalcec Re: Vray Network Rendering and FFX - shawnolson - 04-05-2017 That's pleasant news. Thanks for the info. |
