blowtorch settings - etown - 09-15-2009 I'm trying to create a small blowtorch. Very narrow, sharp and no movement. Does anyone have any pointers on how to achieve this? I'm sure it's an easy thing, but I'm a newbie and could use some help ASAP. Thanks Re: blowtorch settings - jstrob2 - 12-11-2009 For this I would just use a geometry with a looping flame texture mapped on it. FumeFX is better for fire with many flames and turbulent motion in it. But if you want your torch to look more like a dancing flame in the beginning, you could use fumeFX. when you want the flame to get straight, just use a simple source with strong directional velocity and set turbulence and vorticity to zero as a starting point. Also set the emiter turbulence to zero. |
