Simulation Stop. Need help
#1
My Machine's got 36G Memory.
Fumefx simulation just stops as it gets to the frame 265 though I have enough Memory available.

I am still checking my memory and have no probem (20G more memory available yet)

Here is the log below

Quote:Frame: 264
Vmax=7.107, dtReq=0.31, steps=1, CFL'=16.24
[FFX Particle Src001] Building voxels for particles
Total of 117120 (3.5 Mb) voxels for 336 particles
Resizing: from (346,375,373) to (348,375,374)
Memory used: 2141Mb
ApplyForces done in 1.94 sec
Advect velocities done.
CG done in 32.92 sec with 199 iterations (290.242 MVOPS).
CG res e:-5.005 m:-5.005
Advect fields done.
I/O done in 1.13 sec
Saving fxd data OK.

Do you have enough disk space ?
What is your OS ?

Thank you

Hello,

It is hard to tell without the max file.
Can you send it over so we can see if it's reproducable here?

Thank you.

We had the same problem here, solved it by un-checking the "Ability to Stop/Continue" option in the preferences dialogue box.

I was having a similar issue, except it would not save out the state of the SIM and I would have to restart the simulation all over again. Also, I use a script to run multiple containers one after the other, and this bug/issue would terminate the script from moving onto the next container. Is there a better fix than turning off the "ability to start/stop simulation" option?

Ah! Thanks for that info Geoff!!

I will try that.

One more problem here is flickering!!

Smoke Render flickers all the time. Is this bug gone in 3.02 patch ?

Works fine here all the time - no flickering.
Any clip you can post ?

Thank you
