File error!
Unable to write to FumeFX.Ini. Global preferences cannot be saved.
OK.

File Error!
Could not open file C:\Program files\Autodesk\3ds max 2016\plugins\Afterworks\FumeFX\FumeFX.ini for writhing. Global preferences will not be saved.
OK.

Operating system, Windows 7 64-bit.
Program 3-D studio Max 2016, 64-bit.
Was able to install and authorize. In the proper place, in 3ds max. Fume FX.

Uninstalled! FumeFX!

Reinstalled and have the same situation occurring, Error! FumeFX!

I have also tried installing FumeFX, in to 3ds Max 2013.
In have received the same Error! Unable to write to FumeFX.Ini. Global preferences cannot be saved.
It's got to be Windows 7 64Bit.

Hello,

Depending on the Users permissions, the Windows’ UAC might now allow a user to write to FumeFX.ini file. In this case write permissions for FumeFX.ini should be adjusted as shown on the image below.

Also remember to run 3ds max at least once with "Run as Administrator" command (RMB menu) - it usually solves most of problems with write access
