still banging my head against the wall on this.
everytime i try to make my smoke change direction, it always does so in a very weird fashion. i tried using negative speed to attract, wind space warps, gravity vector(which makes it move right again so it doesnt work also)or particles shooting velocity and sometimes heat to make changes in trajectory, but to no avail.
for instance, the vulcano smoke, it starts rising upwards, but then gets a strong wind current(not to mention it loses its temperature) and immediatly changes direction after a certain altitude (so it kinda looks like an L shape rotated 90o degress)
any idea on how to achieve this? in my tests it always looks really weird and never natural at all.
ps: i also tried to use the particles to make the smoke follow, but always looks like spagetthi. even if vel is set to 0 so they would just follow the particles(which are affected by wind, while the fumefx sim in this case isnt)
