How do I license FumeFX-Vray shader on our render farm?
#1
Hi there,
I am looking for information on how to license 40 render nodes that have the FumeFX-Vray shader for Maya. It doesn't appear obvious on the website.

I have placed the vray_FumeFX.dll file into the Maya2014\vray\vrayplugins folder.

I have a serial number to license 40 CPUs.

What is the next step to getting this licensed? Thank you.

Hello,

Please use the installer to install shader on render nodes.
Inside the AfterFLICS.ini under [Servers] change from localhost to the license server on the farm.
Make sure that the firewall or antivirus is not blocking the AfterFLICS.

Once all the render nodes have FumeFX vray shader installed and AfterFLICS.ini has been changed, open FumeFX on the workstation (assuming that it also uses the same license server as the render nodes).
From the FumeFX About box, choose to authrozie FumeFX vray shader. Click on Authorize and send us the UserID to support email along with the FumeFX-vray shader for 40 licenses serial number.

We will generate auth code for 40 shader licenses where all the shader licenses will be stored on the license server and all the render nodes will be able to access it whenever needed.

I hope this helps.
