Problem with upgrade to FFX 4 and network license server
#1
Hello, I am having another newbie problem.

I just downloaded the upgrade from 3.5 to 4 and I am attempting to get it working.

On my workstation I uninstalled the previous version completely because I want to run AfterFLICS on my license server. I previously licensed FFX from my workstation.

I copied the FFX 4 installer (FumeFX40R2014) to my license server and ran a custom install there, only installing AfterFLICS. It installed successfully and the service is running.

However when I look in the licenses tab of AfterFLICS Tools, it is listing this:

FumeFX 3.5.5 SL with 1 license
FumeFX 3.5.5 with 1 license

I don't know why it is listing 3.5.5 licenses when I installed it from a v4 installer. It says it is AfterFLICS Tools 3.1.3. Is this the correct version of AfterFLICS?

On my workstation I did a custom install without AfterFLICS because I want to get the license from the license server. In Max I try to open FumeFX and nothing happens.

Please help? I will be glad to add any information necessary to help me.

Thanks very much for your time and help.

Hello,

Please make a complete install on the workstation as well and configure AfterFLICS to point to your license server.
You will need to authorize FumeFX 4.0 from your workstation once done.
All the details are inside the AfterFLICS help file.
