Hi,
I was wandering if there will be a recompile of FFX 4 for Max 2019?
I only recently upgraded to FFX 4 and I was really hoping to get a bit more use out of it before it became incompatible with the new Max.

Really weird. I'm simulating a particular scene where the particles are rising from the 0,0 point. In the preview window, instead of rising, particles descend from the top. But it renders ok. It's only evident in this one scene. I deleted the FFX rig and reopened a new one. But the preview still shows particles descending from the top instead of from the bottom. Any ideas why this is happening?

I am building a volcano scene and have several uses for Fumefx. How would I use Fume to render different emssions, i.e.. smoke, fire, both? I tried cloning the grid structure, but the renderings are the same. Is it possible to do? Thanks

Hi,
I always get this error where, when I go to network render ( max 2018, win 10 ), it says it cannot write to the fumeFX.ini file.
I've jsust installed fume 4, but this thing used to always happen in the past. Any way to fix it?
I know it nust be a windows permissions thing, but I use lots of other plugins, and only fumefx does this.
I'm attaching screenshots of the error message

Hi All,
I've followed several tutorials online but seem to be getting similar results all round. the water appears too milky or almost metallic. We cant seem to figure it out. I wondered if it might be a gamma issue as the example water i see being used in the material slots are always darker than what is shown in mine. I've included screenshot of my materials, surface settings & Gamma.
can anyone cast any light on what might be going wrong please? I've posted a render on imgur. I cant seem to find a tutorial that matches our system settings to be able to follow.
i did a test and the milkyness disappears if vray is off and scanline renderer is on. but we need vray. does anyone know the correct vray settings?

I just upgraded to fumeFX 4.x from 3.x in Max 2016. When booting Max, I get the error that FumeFX_TP.dlo failed to initiate. The .dlo is in the Optional folder. How can I fix this?
Thanks.

Hi
This is my first post and I'm having trouble locating the files section, examples etc
I can see the downloads OK
But I can't find this from the members area: 'Learn center is designed to help you with Examples, Tutorials and Help sections.'
Apologies if I'm missing something obvious!
