Thank you for the report and files.
I did a test with Scanline renderer and the results seems pretty close (please see attached image).
Have you rendered it with VRay maybe?
Preview Window can hardly be exactly as the Scanline rendered output.
As for the CPU PW, we will look into this as it shouldn't be so different.

On the attached scene, shadow plugins of omni light was V-Rayshadow.

But even though its is changed into shadowmap and it does a rendering by scanline, there is a difference so much with fumefx preview(no GPU).

Sorry to bring this back up but I'm seeing a similar issue.

My gpu previews are vastly different than cpu preview both in opacity and color even before altering any render tab or illumination tab settings.

I'm previewing on a 970 gtx.
