Is there a new version of the command line utility available. I noted a problem I was having on the facebook page and was looking forward to testing an updated version.
Thanks,

Hi,
I'm trying to install FumeFX Shader for Arnold on Maya, and which will be installed with loading path as environment variables.
But after some try&error I couldn't make sure what exactly the path is.
Anybody can help me?
If possible, I'd like to know all environment variables that can be used currently in FumeFX for Maya, to make sure.
Thank you.

Hi guys.
I have a scene where a robot is walking on a field on fire. The fire flares up to the robot´s waist line. He´s shooting up and lots of sparks come out of its gun barrel. The fire is done in Fume.
Is there a way to do sparks in fumefx so that they interact with the fire? It´s very important to have a nice interaction between fire and sparks.
Thanks.

Example Files for FumeFx Simulations

Hello!
This is my first day on the forum, and I was wondering where to find examples of FumeFx simulations. In particular I cam trying to find out what the proper sim scale for an explosion would be. I heard Allan Mckay once say that in Max, a sphere with a radious of 25 was the best scale. Im just wondering what it is with Maya.
I watched this tutorial -- FumeFX for Autodesk Maya Explosion Tutorial-- on youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKbNSQEnZmI
In the description it says , "Scene files are available for our registered customers inside the members area at afterworks.com". I was wondering where these example files were located. Thanks!!!

Rendering Sims Separately

Hello.
I have 3 sims in which 1 of them are fire and smoke and the other 2 are only smoke.
The fire sim cast light on the other 2 smoke-only sims. I like this interaction but I´d like to have control over all the sims.
Is there a way to render the sims separately from each other but still have the interaction of the light on the others?
Thanks.

Preview Window Gamma

Hi, I'm new to FumeFX and still figuring things out.
I'm wondering if there is anyway to apply a gamma 2.2 correction to the FumeFX preview window. I'm hoping to use a linear workflow for rendering. Which works fine with Mental Ray, but since there is no gamma option on the preview it makes it hard to use it in a linear workflow.
Is there any hidden setting or other option to change this, or alternatively should I not use a linear workflow with Fume?

Merging FumeFx Grid crashes 3ds max?

Hey guys,
I'm trying to merge a FumeFx grid into a scene, and every single time it crashes 3ds max. The scene i'm loading from is clean, only a single fumefx grid in there that is attached / linked to nothing. No Source, no light, no helper, nothing. Is this a known issue or a limitation of 4.0.6? It's a real pain in my but atm.
Cheers,
A.

the GPU preview suddenly stopped showing the fluid..
if the GPU is turned off, it works.. GPU did work fine before with the same scene..
also noticed a small "bug", when making a preview it opens the video twice instead of once..
just a small thing, but I thought I'll mention it..
thx
