Part. Velocity causing AB particles to rotate

The problem is with the attached file. If you look, you can see the AB particles turning 180 degrees after birth. The regular Pflow particles don't rotate. This happens when I switch on Part. Velocity in Alignment. Switching to None fixes it, but I need the velocity for stretching.
Is there anything I can do to fix this in AB, or am I going to have to look for a different solution?
Thanks
Mark

Just playing around a little bit and oh dear.
Frames 71,120,139,346,411
Built off of the dust1 preset, (so easily reproducible)
Only changes Shadows Cast off, self shadows on, Rayleigh light scattering, keymode color with three points (light brown>darker>back to lightbrown)
One Target spot with AB shadow map default, object shadows off.
This issues doesn't occur using Raymarcher.
Scanline render
Quicktime 4.5MB
Anyone else run into this?
win xp64 SP2
dell 690 dual dual-core intel 5160 @ 3.00ghz
8 gig ram
quadrofx 4500 (forceware version 162.65)
Max2008 32-bit
Thought I should note that I also rendered it Max9 x32 and it rendered with the ominous little black dots. So either way... :?

Odd flicker in flame

I have an odd flicker in a single flame I'm doing. It seems to show up very significantly when I increase the number of steps in the simulation. Theres no other dynamics in the sim.
There no turbulence, no burn rate variation, no vorticity. Temperature and fuel are constant. No velocity dampening.
The only odd item is Heat production is very high.
At more than one step, I see a regular pulse through the sim, almost as if the expansion rate is changing. Anyone have some thoughts what's could be causing this? Does heat production have some sort of built in turbulence?

Pflow + Fume Folllow + Net Rendering = Nothing

We have our own farm software... so I don't know if this is an issue with backburner or not, but I've been trying to render some particles over the network -- works fine locally, but over the network it's all blank... only happens with Fume Follow. Deadline / Krakatoa apparently also has an issue where it can't partition over the network if it's using a render license as well (read on frantic forums from Bobo). Anybody had any issues?
--Max2008-- haven't tried in max9

Hi
I'm getting the below error as Afterburn Glow is being applied if I turn on the Dynamic Bitmap Pager in FinalRender Stage-1 R2 ....
In file:'.\GLOW.CPP' Line:809
I get an option to continue and the render seems to go ok if I click it. But I'm not able to network render as the render nodes just crash without giving the continue option. I'm using Max9, FinalRender Stage-1 R2 and AB3.2c.
Anybody else had trouble?
Thanks
Mark

Adaptive Mesh "Infinite" = Bad Dynamics?

Adaptive Mesh's "Infinite" option is awesome but has a problem where the dynamics/waves of the ocean look really bad beyond the actual sea mesh.
Is there something we can do to correct for this?
How can we get the Infinite mesh to inherit/mimic the main mesh's dynamics/waves/choppy/etc. ?
thanks!
